A bit about me
Since I’m claiming to know a bit about writing, I guess you’ll want to know a bit about me.
I didn’t call myself a writer until I started earning money from it in 2014. Since then, I haven’t stopped writing, talking about writing, or helping others with their writing.
· 2013 – completed a Diploma in Freelance and Feature Writing (with distinction)
· 2014 – started working as a freelance copywriter
· 2015 – completed a Diploma in Copywriting
· 2017 – incorporated Make Your Copy Count Ltd
· 2017 – launched my first training courses
· 2018 – wrote and published my first book (A-Z of blogging)
· 2020 – launched my 90-minute consultations
· 2022 – wrote and published my second book (The Freelance Fairytale)
· 2022 – launched my mentoring programme
· 2024 – launched two new websites
· 2025 – began a year-long experiment on content marketing
· 2025 – launched Write With Lisa
These are just some of the key milestones. I’ve also worked with hundreds of clients, writing and supporting them with all kinds of copy and content on all kinds of subjects.
Some of my more unusual experiences include writing an article from the point of view of a cat, editing an erotic novel, and teaching inmates in a prison how to blog.
And it’s all this writing experience I’m sharing with you.
